It is our pleasure to welcome Angela Naimou as a member of the OSI 2026 faculty!
Angela Naimou is an associate professor of literature at Clemson University. She is the author of Salvage Work: U.S. and Caribbean Literatures amid the Debris of Legal Personhood, which won the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present book prize and was a finalist for the William Sanders Scarborough Award by the Modern Language Association. She is editor of the volume Diaspora and Literary Studies in the Cambridge Critical Concepts series, an associate editor of the journal Contemporary Literature, and co-editor of the journal Humanity: An International Journal of Human Rights, Humanitarianism, and Development. Naimou is writing a short book on human rights with Sonali Perera. Since 2022, Naimou has led a campus initiative with students and locally resettled refugees as part of the Every Campus a Refuge network. Angela will convene a workshop on Moving Subjects and Changing Law with Jeannine DeLombard.
